History

Based on the fingerprint research of Sir Francis Galton in 1880's, which had firstly indicated the uniqueness and invariability of fingerprint, in 1891, Mr. Juan Vucetich, an Argentine police official, initiated the fingerprint identification of criminal in the case where Francisca Rojas left a bloody fingerprint on a door after having killed her children. 
And ever since FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) established the database for fingerprints and related criminal history data in 1924, fingerprint have been recognized as the most direct and convincible evidence for presence of an individual on court of law.

Features

But due to the complexity and urgency at the crime scene, it is never an easy task to collect latent fingerprint. The most common method of which for current police official is a DSLR collocated with Macro lens and ring flash. Nevertheless, it is neither enough mobile, efficient nor economical. MGP4 consequently originated the following features:

1.Mobility

The severe circumstance at crime scene demonstrates strong demand for compact equipment from investigators. Accordingly, MGP4 Plus combines camera, lens and lighting into one single device. The necessity of additional lighting equipment and macro lens for fingerprint collection had come to the end. 2.Low-angled light projection

To diminish reflection from glossy surface is another major difficulty when taking fingerprint pictures. With internationally patented Low-angle light projection design, MGP4 Plus efficiently prevents fingerprint images from partial over-exposure, which may lead to an error in process of identification.

3.Switch-able twin light sources

Equipped with built-in Switch-able twin light sources, applicable to fluorescent application for fingerprint collection, MGP4 Plus is able to function more flexibly for professional police officials at scene of crime. Standard light sources options including white, blue and UV, other customized wavelength is available.

4.Fixed working distance for Standard size image

Fingerprint picture, complies with NEC AFIS standard size 27-20 mm, can be precisely imaged by fixed working distance, in virtue of lens cone in specialized length, and L-square ruler sticker.
