Calibration standards for the Plastic industry

Calibration standards for the Plastic industry
Providing calibration standards for FTIR, NIR, XRF and NMR analysis in the plastic industry

Throughout the years, Microptik group has been applying spectroscopic techniques in the plastic industry. For most of the applications calibration standards were needed to calibrate multivariable data against critical to quality parameters. In many cases special calibration standards were difficult to get hold on particularly if the composition of the matrix is out of specification range. Such ‘special’ calibration samples are extremely useful in modeling a method to such an extent that the calibration models are robust and practical. We provide for all processes calibration samples which match real production samples as close as possible. By acquiring our samples there is no need to schedule campaigns where products have to be
produced out of specification and hence considerable costs are saved

Examples of calibration standards….

Matrix: Polypropylene: Homo-polymers, random copolymers and impact copolymers
Matrix: Polyethylene: High Density, Linear low and low density
Additives: Calcium carbonate, Calcium stearate, Zinc stearate, Talcum, Silica, Irgafos 168 total, Irgafos 168 active, Irganox 1076, Irganox 1010, PEPQ, Cimasorb etc.
Physical properties: density, Xylene solubles,
